Flour
Roller Mill is
designed to grind grain and other loose food products.
Depending on the processing purpose, it is also available
with fluted or smooth iron grinding rolls with a chilled
surface. |
 
The mill is seperated technologically and
kinematically into two completely independent
halves. The main working members of the mill
are two pairs of diagonal grinding rolls.
The rolls of each pair rotate in opposite
direction with different peripheral velocities.The
degree of breaking of the product by the rolls
depends on their speed ratio (differential)
and the magnitude of the relative velocity
of the fast grinding roll.
The
roll flutes are the fine longitudinal grooves
of corresponding profile and size , made on
the surface of the rolls with a small slope
in respect to the generating line , owing
to which the efficient performance of the
rolls is raised.
The product is fed to the grinding rolls in
a thin uniform strip with the aid of a roll
type feed mechanism with an adjusting feed
plate which ensures automatic control of mill
output.
One of each pair of rolls is mounted in bearings
that are displaced with the aid of two special
mechanism , one of which permits he parallel
alignment of the rolls. and the other is used
for subsequent decrease or increase of the
clearance between the rolls.
The grinding rolls are set in the working
position by means of an eccentric engagement
mechanism. The rolls are being engaged and
disengaged without changing the previously
adjusted roll clearance.
Foreign objects of a size exceeding that of
the handled grain , getting accidentally between
the grinding rolls are passed in between them
with the aid of spring-type shock absorbers
fitted in the engagement mechanism.
The roll flutes are cleaned from disintegerated
particles of the handled product with the
air of brushes.
Each half of the mill is driven from an electric
motor through a v-belt or flat-belt transmission.
The
second roll receives rotation from the first
roll through an interroll drive.
To prevent runout of the rolls in the course
of grinding , they are made of solid construction.
The rolls rotate in the roller bearings.
To prevent condensation of the moisture ,
warm air is evacuated from the mill by a special
aspiration system.
Grinding rolls perform with a clearance adjustable
within 0.15 to 1.75mm. In the process of product
disintegration there appears between the rolls
a pressure exceeding the weight of a roll.
Upon interruption of feed of the handled product
one of the rolls may come into contact with
the other. |
