The
machine is used for continuous removal of
stones from a stream of granular material,
composed for instance of any variety of grain,
Oil seeds, Cocoa beans, Wheat, Rice, Dal etc.
Simple and dependable separation due to the
stratification of the material into the product
and the heavy impurities such as stones, metal,
glass etc. The gravity selector combines two
distinct functions with a single machine and
uses half the total air requiremens of two
separate machine normally used to achieve
the following functions :
| » |
It
concentrates impurities. |
| » |
It
removes stones from the grain stream. |
|
|
The
product is gravity fed through an air shut-off
gate on to a preliminary separation perforated
screen, fromwhere offals are separated. After
preliminary cleaning grain passes on to an
inclined oscillating deck. This deck is designed
as screen through which an upward current
of air is passed, fluidizing the product.
Due to their different specific gravities,
the heavy particles such as stones sink to
the bottom of this layer of fluidized material,
while the lighter particles supported by the
cushion of air, float on top. The oscillating
action of the screen causes the heavy particles
to work their way to the upper end of the
deck. There is an adjustable counter of air
causes out the final separation of heavy particles
from light material, and the stone discharge
over the two top end of the deck and the air
volume can be adjusted to achieve the optimal
degree of separation. The essential mechanical
difference is that there are two layers of
sieve rather than the one in the stoner. The
upper deck is used to stratify the incoming
grain stream thereby concentrating the impurities
whilst the lower deck is used to remove stones
from the denser clean grains which have been
separated from the lighter contaminted streams. |
|
|
|
|
High
accuracy of separation, thanks to preliminary, midling
and final separation zones and excellent distribution
of air across the entire screen.
| » |
Accurate
final separation of product from heavy impurities
due to adjustable counter current of air.
|
| » |
High
capacity combined with low air volume and
minimum power requirements. |
| » |
Insensitivity
towards variations of capacity. |
| » |
Simple
drive with two nos. eccentric vibratory motor,
deck supported on springs, making for quiet
running. |
| » |
Exchange
deck with removable perforated metal screen.
|
A
selection of upper sieve covers with apertures of
different sizes is available, three sieve segments
are used in the upper deck. The lower sieve is wire
mesh.
Machine
is available in two models.
